Onion Bacon Quiche

Ingredients
  

  • 24 oz onions, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 oz bacon, diced
  • cubed butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions
 

  • Sauté the diced onions in some oil in a pan over medium heat until they turn translucent. Add the sautéed onions to a bowl, add the eggs, heavy cream, and salt, and mix to combine.
  • Combine the flour, butter, salt, milk, dry yeast, and sugar, knead into a smooth dough, and let rise.
  • Line a pie plate or tart dish with the pastry dough, spoon the onion mixture over the dough, and top with diced bacon and cubed butter.
  • Transfer the pie plate to a preheated oven and cook at 350°F for 1 hour.
