If you ever find yourself at a loss for dinner, you have no idea how to make a pie crust, and the fridge is mostly empty, we’re pretty sure this innovative adaptation of the quiche will get you out of a pinch! And you may even convince the man of the house to try it!
White Bread Quiche
Equipment
- square casserole dish
Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 2/3 cup cream
- 4 oz ham, cut into squares
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 oz shredded cheddar
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella
- salt and pepper
- 4 slices bread (tip: it doesn't have to be white bread!)
- 1 tbsp chives
Instructions
- Beat the eggs with cream and add the ham, onion, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut the crusts off 4 bread slices and use them to line the bottom of a square casserole dish. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and spread the surface smooth. Sprinkle with chives.
- Bake at 350 °F for 30 minutes.
