Tabbouleh Tart: Middle Eastern Dumplings Stuffed With Meat & Vegetables

Ingredients
- 2 shallot cloves
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 0.5 red bell pepper
- 0.5 green bell pepper
- 1 tomato
- 11 oz ground beef
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 1.5 oz pomegranate seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 0.5 tbsp cumin
- 12 oz flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1.5 fl oz sunflower oil
- 7 fl oz warm milk
- 0.25 tsp active dry yeast
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare the filling by combining the above ingredients and mixing well with your hands.
- Prepare the dough using the above ingredients and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Pull small pieces of dough from the main ball and roll each one out into an oval on a floured work surface.
- Place one tablespoon of the filling on the center of each oval dough piece. Then fold the dough together on the sides and firmly press the ends together with your fingers. In the end, they should slightly resemble boats.
- Repeat until you have used up all the dough and filling and bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
