SpaghettiOs Cake: Pasta Casserole Filled With Layers Of Cheese, Mortadella & Hard-Boiled Eggs

SpaghettiOs Cake: Pasta Casserole Filled With Layers Of Cheese, Mortadella & Hard-Boiled Eggs

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp rosemary
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 lbs pureed tomatoes
  • salt & pepper
  • 3 lbs cooked pasta
  • 4 oz parmesan cheese
  • 6 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 10 hard-boiled eggs
  • 6 oz mozzarella pearls
  • 6 oz mortadella

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cook the pasta and set the noodles aside. Brown the ground beef with the vegetables and then add the thyme, rosemary, ketchup, tomato puree, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the noodles with the sauce.
  • Line a casserole dish with parchment paper, add a layer of pasta, smooth out the top, and sprinkle grated parmesan and shredded mozzarella on top.
  • Cut 10 hard-boiled eggs in half and put the halves face down. Fill the spaces between the eggs with mozzarella pearls.
  • Add a layer of mortadella, followed by a layer of pasta. Sprinkle parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 40 minutes.
  • Once the SpaghettiOs cake has cooled, flip it over onto a large plate or platter, slide it out of the casserole dish, remove the parchment paper, and enjoy!
