Pull-Apart Fruit Pie
Equipment
- Springform pan
- Parchment paper
Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 4 sticks butter, cubed
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 10 oz peaches
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 10 oz blueberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Knead the dough ingredients together. Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and leave to chill in the fridge for an hour.
- Simmer the blueberries with the sugar and water for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly. If after 20 minutes the jam is still too chunky for your taste, you can puree it in a food processor. As soon as it has the right consistency, pour the finished jam into a glass jar to cool. To see if the jam has the right consistency, put some on a plate and tilt it back and forth; if the jam doesn't run, it's ready. However, if it starts to run, just let it simmer a little longer. Don't forget to stir regularly so that the jam doesn't burn. Cut the peaches into small pieces and prepare the peach jam in the same way as the blueberry jam. When finished, leave to cool in a glass jar.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, roll out the dough, and use a glass to cut out circles.
- Carefully fold the individual dough circles, pressing the ends together to form a small pocket.
- Fill each pocket with one type of homemade jam.
- Lay the pockets in a circle in a springform pan lined with parchment paper. Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 40 minutes.
