- 6 boneless pork chops for marinated pork chops
- salt & pepper to taste, for marinated pork chops
- 1 onion diced, for marinated pork chops
- 2 tbsp paprika for marinated pork chops
- 3/4 cup sparkling water for marinated pork chops
- 4 lbs potatoes peeled, for mashed potatoes
- 3/4 cup heavy cream for mashed potatoes
- 3/4 stick butter softened, for mashed potatoes
- salt & nutmeg to taste, for mashed potatoes
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil for the meal
- 3 tbsp bread crumbs for the meal
- 1 head of cabbage sliced, for the meal
- 12 tomato slices for the meal
- 1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese for the meal
- parsley to garnish, for the meal
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and puree the diced onions, paprika, and mineral water until smooth. Coat the seasoned pork chops in the marinade, place the marinated pork chops in a large bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Boil the peeled potatoes in lightly salted water over medium heat and drain the water. Add the heavy cream, softened butter, salt, and nutmeg to the boiled potatoes and mash until smooth.
- Grease a sheet pan with sunflower oil and sprinkle an even layer of bread crumbs on top. Spread the mashed potatoes over the greased & breaded sheet pan and smooth out the top. Cut the head of cabbage into 6 thick slices and place the cabbage steaks on top of the mashed potatoes.
- Top each cabbage steak with a marinated pork chop, 2 tomato slices, and 1-2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese. Transfer the sheet pan to a preheated oven and cook at 350°F for 35-40 minutes. Garnish the marinated pork chop cabbage steaks with parsley before serving.
