Now there’s a “lollipop” whereby biting is an absolute requirement! This simple recipe is perfect for both children and adults. Go on, explore your rebellious side!

Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Decorative paper straws or wooden sticks

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 15 slices salami

Instructions
 

  • Spread the pizza dough onto a work surface and coat the dough with a healthy portion of tomato sauce. Next, add a bit of oregano, followed by grated mozzarella and salami slices. Be sure to leave a bit of space along the edges, so that the ingredients don't fall out during the next step.
  • Now tightly roll up the pizza dough and cut into one-inch pieces. Transfer the pieces to a baking tray, and bake for 12 minutes at 390 °F.
  • After baking, penetrate each piece with a decorative paper straw or wooden stick. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute the salami with another choice, but keep in mind that not all pizza toppings are suitable: some chunkier veggies could easily fall out once the roll is cut.

Of course, you can always choose to forgo the straws and serve these tasty snacks as pizza bites. For birthday parties and other gatherings, decorative straws or sticks are not only fun, they also make sure that hands stay nice and clean.
