Remember the good old days when you could still find Kinder Surprise Eggs on every corner? Considering that they’re in pretty short supply in the US these days, we’ll go ahead and show you how to make your own so you can relive that chocolatey goodness from your childhood!

Homemade Kinder Surprise Eggs

  • Plastic Wrap
  • Water bath

Ingredients
  

  • 6 eggs
  • 8 oz milk chocolate
  • 8 oz white chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Tightly wrap each egg in plastic wrap and tape off the top (you can also hard-boil the eggs first to avoid a potential mess if they crack).
  • Melt the white chocolate in a water bath, dip each egg halfway into the liquid chocolate, and let dry.
  • Melt the milk chocolate in a water bath, dip each egg halfway into the liquid chocolate, and let dry.
  • Cut off the extra plastic wrap at the top and carefully remove the eggs from the plastic wrap.
  • Run a large knife under warm water and gently lay it on the chocolate shells to smooth out the edges.
  • Gently press the shell halves together to form a full chocolate egg.
