With two fried eggs as eyeballs and a curved sausage as the mouth, most of us have probably looked down at our breakfast smiling back at us on one occasion. Without wanting to disrespect our loved ones’ efforts in kitchen too much, few would disagree that there’s not much originality in this cheery design. That’s why we’ve come up with four clever presentation tips for impressing your friends and family at the breakfast table. They’re simple but delightful tricks that’ll turn any morning frown upside down!
Cheerful Breakfast Dishes
Ingredients
- hot dogs
- eggs
Instructions
- Slice the sausage lengthways without cutting it completely in half. Use a toothpick to shape the sausage like a heart. You can then fry an egg inside the sausage heart.
- Stick a skewer through one end of the sausage. Turn the skewer and sausage so that a spiral design is cut into it. Now use the sausage to form a circular mold in which you can fry eggs.
- Slice lengthways about two thirds along the sausage and cut both sausage strands in half. You'll now have four strands which can each be cut in half again. Once boiled and given some mustard make-up, the sausage octopus can be served on top of a pile of scrambled eggs.
- Slice both ends of a sausage diagonally and, as can be seen in the video, attach individual pieces together using a toothpick so that they look like little hearts. Fry them and serve them with scrambled eggs.
