When pondering sangria, our minds might travel back to a hot summer day at an outdoor cafe, watching as a fruit-filled glass pitcher perspires under the heat of the sun. While summer vacation may be a few months away, you can still enjoy sangria, this time with a special seasonal twist!
Caramel Apple Sangria

- Pitcher
Ingredients
- 2 red apples
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 1/2 cups cider
- 2 1/2 cups white wine
Instructions
- Wash and core the apples and cut into cubes.
- Heat the sugar in a pot until it caramelizes. Careful that it does not start to burn!
- Add the water to the pot and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and let cool.
- Place the apples into the bottom of a pitcher. Pour in the sugary syrup followed by the cider and white wine. Mix well and refrigerate before serving.
