It’s never a good idea to avoid vegetables: Whether you’re a kid or an adult, everybody should be eating them. But for many people, green vegetables are just not at the top of the list. This recipe is a great way to spruce up your appetizers and create something more nutritious, using only a few ingredients. Broccoli (and every other kind of vegetable) will soon be your new favorite food – and party snack!
Broccoli Rolls

Ingredients
- 12 oz broccoli
- 2 oz scallions
- 1 garlic clove
- 6 oz cheddar cheese grated
- 1.25 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- chili sauce optional
Instructions
- Cut the broccoli into small pieces and then place it into boiling water for 2 minutes. Dry it off and chop it into even smaller pieces.
- Put the broccoli, along with the other ingredients, into a bowl: grated cheese, scallions, egg, garlic clove, pepper, salt and chili sauce if you prefer a little spice! Then knead the mixture until it turns into an evenly textured mass. Then it goes off into the fridge for about 2 hours.
- Now make small, firm balls out of the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven at 400°F for 17-20 minutes. Delicious!
