Although you won’t believe it, there’s a fruit that’s perfect for the grill. It’s time to rearrange your steaks, hot dogs, and ears of corn and make room for watermelon!
Grilled Watermelon with Lime and Cilantro

Ingredients
- 1/4 watermelon
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 1 tbsp cilantro chopped
Instructions
- Take 1/4 of a watermelon, and cut off the ends. Cut the remaining melon into six thick slices and lay them flat.
- Put a bit of lime juice into a small bowl and using a brush, apply the juice to one side of your watermelon slices. Next, add a coat of olive oil. Flip the slices over and follow the same procedure.
- Sprinkle a bit of salt (to taste) and place the watermelon on the grill, cooking for three minutes on both sides.
- Before serving, add another splash of lime juice and garnish with cilantro.
