Cheesy Stuffed Bread Loaf
Bread is an important staple of most people's diets, but it's also an ingredient that tends to get used over and over in the same old ways. So instead of sticking to the same boring recipes, broaden your horizons with our cheesy stuffed bread loaf, jam-packed with pepperoni and ooey, gooey brie cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 large loaf of white bread
- 4 small brie cheese wheels 4.5 oz each
- 1 cup diced pepperoni divided
- 1 cup diced red onion divided
- 1/4 cup chopped chives to garnish
- 4 slices white bread
- 4 oz cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cut 4 evenly-spaced, large slices of bread out of the white bread loaf – the empty spaces should be large enough to fit the brie cheese wheels. Set the slices of bread aside for later.
- Slice the brie cheese wheels open, top 4 of the cheese halves with an even amount of diced pepperoni and diced red onion, and place the empty cheese halves back on top of the covered cheese halves.
- Place 1 stuffed cheese wheel in each empty space in the loaf of white bread. Transfer the stuffed bread loaf to a preheated oven and cook at 325°F for 20 minutes.
- Place the block of cheddar cheese in a warm pan over medium heat and let the cheese melt for about 1 minute. Remove the block of cheese from the pan and press 1 of the bread slices that you set aside earlier into the cheese until it sticks.
- Flatten the piece of bread with a spatula and then carefully roll it up. Repeat with the remaining 3 slices of bread and cheddar cheese.
- Toast the bread rolls on all sides in the warm pan until golden brown and then let cool for about 5 minutes.
- Garnish the cheesy stuffed bread loaf with chopped chives and serve with the cheesy toast dippers.
