Inside-Out Steak Quesadilla
Now you can stuff your steak quesadilla and turn it inside-out, thanks to this unique recipe!

- Meat tenderizer
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef steak
- 0.5 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 0.25 red onion sliced
- 4-6 cherry tomatoes quartered
- 1 tbsp corn kernels
- 1 jalapeño sliced
- 3 tbsp salsa
- 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- flour for breading
- egg for breading
- 2 corn tortillas cut into thin strips for breading
- sour cream to garnish
- cilantro to garnish
Instructions
- Butterfly the steak, place it between 2 pieces of plastic wrap, and use a meat tenderizer to flatten it.
- Remove the top piece of plastic wrap and top one side with the Monterey Jack cheese, red onions, tomatoes, corn, jalapeños, salsa, and cheddar cheese.
- Fold the empty side of the meat over the toppings and place the stuffed steak on a panini press. Cook on the highest setting for 10-12 minutes and then let cool for 5 minutes.
- Set up your breading station with flour, egg, and 2 corn tortillas cut into thin strips. Dredge the stuffed steak in the flour, egg, and tortilla strips.
- Heat some cooking oil in a deep pan to 350°F and fry the inside-out steak quesadilla in the hot oil for 3-5 minutes. Garnish with sour cream and fresh cilantro before serving.
