Equipment

  • Springform pan
  • Glass Jar

Ingredients

  • 22 oz ground beef
  • 2 shallots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 yolks egg
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 cup kidney beans
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red chili pepper, diced
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp hot paprika
  • vegetable oil to grease the pans
  • shredded cheddar cheese & sliced scallions to garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F and combine all the ingredients for the beef bowls. Divide the ground beef mixture between 2 small, greased springform pans and press a greased glass jar into each springform pan to create a deep hollow.
  • Combine all the ingredients for the chili and divide it between the 2 glass jars.
  • Put the springform pans with the glass jars in the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 325°F. For crispier beef bowls, brush a bit of olive oil over the beef and cook for an additional 10 minutes at 400°F without the glass jars.
  • Afterwards, pour the cooked chili into the hollows in the beef bowls and garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and sliced scallions.
