We’re far enough into the new year that — little by little — sugar, cream, and fats are slowly making their way back into our meal plans. Well, when you’re completely ready to throw in the diet towel and go for something truly sinful, make it this glorious layered dessert. We’re talking all your favorites in one place: chocolate, cream, pudding, and — wait for it — Oreos!

Equipment

  • Casserole or cake form
  • Rolling Pin
  • Electric mixer

Ingredients

  • 2 packages chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 2/3 cups mascarpone
  • 9 oz Oreo cookies
  • 1 1/4 cups whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • chocolate cream, to taste
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • First take the Oreos apart and using a knife, scrape the cream off into a bowl.
  • Spread out a clean kitchen towel and place the cookie layers in a pile in the middle. Fold up the corners of the towel and roll over the cookies with a rolling pin to crush them. There shouldn't be any big pieces left, just little crumbs. Place these into a mixing bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a small pan until it's completely liquid. Pour the butter into the bowl with the cookie crumbs and stir them together until you have a homogenous dough. This will be the bottom layer of your pudding cake. Use a spoon to place it into the form and press it smooth.
  • Put the mascarpone into a new bowl. Add the cream fillings from the Oreos and mix them well. Next comes the powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to combine these ingredients into a creamy batter. Pour in the milk and mix this together until it's perfectly smooth. Now spread this part over the floor of your dessert and be sure that it's even. Sprinkle a layer of chocolate chips — use 1/3 cup.
  • Add the pudding mix to a saucepan. Add the milk and stir until the pudding mix is dissolved. Cook the pudding according to package instructions. Now spread evenly over the chocolate chip layer.
  • Carefully spread the whipped cream over the pudding. Drizzle with a chocolate spread. Add the remaining chocolate chips.
