Ingredients

  • 1 dark chocolate (at least 60% cacao)

Instructions

  • Chop the chocolate, place it in a bowl, place the bowl in a water bath or microwave, and heat until fully melted, making sure to stir every 20 seconds. Let the chocolate cool down to about 88°F (check with a kitchen thermometer) before proceeding.
  • Put the melted chocolate in a piping bag cut off the tip. Put parchment paper on a turntable or Lazy Susan, and squeeze the chocolate onto it in a swirl as you turn the device. Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully loosen the spiral from the parchment paper and drape it on the dessert of your choice.
  • Put some ice cubes in a casserole dish or bowl and pour the melted chocolate over them. Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully remove it from the ice cubes and fill the individual compartments with whatever your heart desires.
  • Dip half of a knife in the melted chocolate, press it on parchment paper, and run a comb through the chocolate on either side. Roll up the parchment paper and place it in a glass to dry. This chocolate feather is so realistic, it'll encourage you to spread your wings.
  • Put the melted chocolate in a piping bag and make the shape shown in the video on a piece of plastic wrap. Place the plastic wrap with the chocolate on a small, upside down bowl and let the chocolate set. Turn the hardened chocolate piece right side up and you can use it as a fancy & delicious edible bowl.
  • Thoroughly clean your hands and dip one in ice water for 1 minute. Shake the excess water off, pour plenty of melted chocolate over your hand, and let it dry. Carefully remove the chocolate mold from your hand with a butter knife and serve this to your dinner guests for the surprise of a lifetime!
  • Put the melted chocolate in a piping bag and squirt a generous amount into a glass of ice cold water. Once the chocolate has set, remove it from the glass, and serve it with the dessert of your choice.
