Basic Cupcake Recipe with Buttercream Frosting

- Muffin pan
- Cupcake liners
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 255 g sugar
- 255 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 255 g room-temperature butter
- 50 g cocoa powder (optional, for chocolate cupcakes)
- 500 g soft butter
- 6 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 tbsp full-fat yogurt
Instructions
- Beat the eggs and sugar together and then stir in the flour.
- Mix in the butter and pour the cupcake batter into a muffin pan lined with cupcake liners. Bake the cupcakes in a preheated oven set to 320°F for 30 minutes.
- Beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until creamy and then fold in the yogurt. Color the frosting according to your preference and based on the decorating wish.
