Discover 4 easy ways to make the perfect eggs: Fried, Poached, Boiled, and Scrambled.
Equipment
- Nonstick frying pan
- Slotted spoon
- Pot
- Spatula
Ingredients
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Pepper
Instructions
- Heat your pan over medium heat and add some oil. Once the oil's hot, crack the egg into the pan. When the white starts to set, season with salt and pepper. Add a little water and cover the pan with a lid to create steam. Cook until the egg white is set and the yolk is runny.
- Boil water in a large pot, then bring it down to a simmer. Add a little salt. Crack an egg into a wine glass, stir the water to create a swirl, and carefully pour the egg into the water. Cook until the egg turns white. Remove with a slotted spoon and let the water drain off.
- Submerge the eggs in lukewarm water for about 3 minutes. Bring a pot of water to a boil and gently place the eggs in the boiling water. Cooking time varies: 2 minutes for runny yolk, 5 minutes for dipping, 7 minutes for salads, and 10 minutes for fully set yolk.
- Crack eggs into a bowl, add salt and pepper. Heat a nonstick frying pan with butter. Once hot, whisk the eggs and pour into the pan. Let the edges set, then push them inward with a spatula. Add a tablespoon of butter when almost done for creamier eggs. Remove from heat and serve.
