Equipment

  • Large cooking pot

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups flour
  • 0.67 oz fresh yeast (⅓ of a 2 oz cube)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1.25 cups lukewarm water
  • 8 oz ground beef
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • olive oil
  • 4 oz bacon
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 8 oz chicken
  • 0.5 onion, diced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • egg whites for the egg wash
  • sesame seeds
  • flax seeds
  • black sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and mix the flour, vegetable oil, and salt together in a separate container. Knead the yeast water and flour mixture together and let the dough rise covered on the counter for 30 minutes.
  • Fry the ground beef in a bit of oil, let cool for a few minutes, and then mix with the shredded cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce.
  • Fry the bacon in a bit of oil, let cool, break into bite-sized pieces, and mix with the shredded mozzarella.
  • Fry the chicken, let cool, mix with the diced onion and paprika, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Knead the yeast dough once more and divide it into small pieces, each of which should weigh about 1 ounce. Roll out the dough pieces into a flat circle and spoon a different filling into the middle of each dough circle.
  • Wrap the dough around the filling and roll into a ball. Coat each ball with the egg white wash and top with sesame seeds, flax seeds, or black sesame seeds. Heat a large cooking pot over medium heat, press the stuffed rolls against the inside rim of the pot, cover with a lid, and let cook 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the lid and place the pot upside down on the burner so the tops of the rolls turn golden brown. Alternatively, you can also bake them in an oven set to 350°F for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn on the broiler if they don't look as crispy as you'd like, but be sure to watch them carefully as they can easily burn under high heat.
