Frying an egg is a quick & easy way to make a delicious breakfast. And everyone knows that eggs don’t have to stop there! They taste delicious cooked any which way, no matter the time of the day! But cooking your eggs the same way over and over again can get a little boring. That’s where these 3 inventive egg recipes come in! Try out our tic-tac-toe omelet, flower power egg sandwich, and bullseye omelet for some fun new ways to eat your eggs and get yourself egg-cited for cooking breakfast again!

1. Tic-Tac-Toe Omelet

Yield: 1

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Difficulty Level: Easy

You’ll Need:

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 2 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • X & O cookie cutters

Here’s How:

1.1 Separate the eggs, then whisk both the egg whites and the egg yolks. Heat a frying pan or griddle on low heat, then pour the egg yolks into it. Once the egg yolks have cooked, cut 4 long strips of equal width out of the center of the cooked egg yolks. Remove the sides segments of egg yolk and eat them separately.

1.2 Position the cooked strips of egg yolks so that they make a grid pattern. Pour the whisked egg whites into the empty spaces in the grid and let them cook.

1.3 Use the X & O cookie cutters to cut the slices of pepperoni into O’s and green bell peppers X’s, then use them to play tic-tac-toe on your fun, original omelet!

2. Flower Power Egg Sandwich

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Difficulty Level: Easy

You’ll Need:

  • 2 eggs, separated
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese
  • 1 slice of bread, toasted
  • ketchup for serving
  • metal apple corer

Here’s How:

2.1 Separate the eggs, then whisk both the egg whites and the egg yolks. Heat a frying pan or griddle on low heat and place a metal apple corer in the center. Fill the spaces in the apple corer with the egg whites, leaving the center free. Let the egg whites cook until they’ve solidified.

2.2 Once the egg whites have cooked, carefully take the apple corer out of the frying pan. Pull the pieces of egg whites apart slightly, then pour the egg yolks into the center so that they fills in the gaps between the egg whites. Pour some additional egg yolks around the outside of the egg whites, creating a design that resembles a flower, then let the egg yolks cook.

2.3 Toast a slice of bread and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Place the fried egg flower on top of the cheese toast and spoon some ketchup into the center.

3. Bullseye Omelet

Yield: 1

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Difficulty Level: Easy

You’ll Need:

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • shredded mozzarella
  • diced red bell pepper
  • bacon, fried & cubed
  • chopped chives
  • 2-inch glass bowl
  • 4-inch glass bowl
  • 6-inch glass bowl

Here’s How:

3.1 Separate the eggs, then whisk both the egg whites and the egg yolks. Heat a frying pan or griddle on low heat and place the 3 glass bowls in the center of the frying pan, starting with the smallest and ending with the largest. Pour the egg whites into the pan so that they surround the largest bowl. Once the egg whites have solidified, remove the large glass bowl.

3.2 Pour the egg yolks into the pan so that a ring forms between the medium-sized bowl and the cooked egg whites. Once the egg yolks have solidified, remove the medium-sized bowl. Repeat this technique with the remainder of the bowls and eggs.

3.3 Sprinkle chopped chives, fried bacon, chopped red bell pepper, and shredded mozzarella on top of the bullseye omelet to serve.
