Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Recipe

You’ll Need:

  • 1¾ sticks butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3¾ cups flour

Here’s How:

Knead together the ingredients for the chocolate chip cookie dough by hand in a large bowl until a smooth dough forms. Cover the bowl, transfer it to the refrigerator, and let the cookie dough chill for 30 minutes.

Vanilla Cream Filling Recipe

You’ll Need:

  • 1½ cups cream cheese
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • juice of ½ lemon

Here’s How:

Scrape the caviar out of the vanilla bean pod into a bowl and whisk it together with the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and juice of ½ a lemon until smooth and creamy. Set aside for later.

1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Tartlets

1.1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Turn a muffin pan upside down and lightly grease the bottom of the molds. Remove the chocolate chip cookie dough from the refrigerator and roll it into small balls.

1.2 Place 1 ball of cookie dough on top of alternating molds and use the bottom of a glass to flatten each ball. Turn the glass over and lightly press the rim of the glass down onto each flattened ball of cookie dough to form a small bowl around each mold. Transfer the muffin pan to the oven and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

1.3 Remove the muffin pan from the oven and immediately take the mini chocolate chip cookie bowls off of the molds. Once the tartlets have cooled, fill them with vanilla cream and garnish with fresh berries and mint.

2. Chocolate Chip Cookie Cannolis

2.1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll the cookie dough out into thin semi-rectangular sections, then roll them up into hollowed-out logs. To help the cookie dough keep its shape, roll the dough around the handle of a wooden spoon when creating the hollow center. The wooden spoon can also go in the oven.

2.2 Place the hollow chocolate chip cookie dough rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Transfer the baking tray to the oven and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove the chocolate chip cookie rolls from the oven and remove the wooden spoons while the dough is still warm.

2.3 Once the chocolate chip cookies have cooled, pipe the vanilla cream filling inside the rolls.

3. Chocolate Chip Cookie Spoons

3.1 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 2 spoons on both sides and place 1 upside down on your work surface. Roll a piece of chocolate chip cookie dough into a small ball and place it on the back of the head of the spoon.

3.2 Roll a second piece of cookie dough into a thin log the length of the handle and place it directly on the backside of the spoon handle.

3.3 Place the second greased spoon on top of the dough and gently press the spoons together, molding the cookie dough into the shape of a spoon.

3.4 Carefully remove the top spoon, smooth out the dough, and place the cookie dough spoon (still resting on the second metal spoon) on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat this process with the rest of the cookie dough.

3.5 Transfer the baking tray to the oven and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Remove the chocolate chip cookie spoons from the oven and carefully separate them from the metal spoons while still warm. Once the chocolate chip cookie spoons have cooled completely, spoon a large scoop of vanilla cream filling into the head of each spoon and garnish with fresh raspberries.

These chocolate chip cookies topped with fresh berries and homemade vanilla cream are cute enough to turn heads and addicting enough to keep those heads turning. They’re a fun take on an old classic that will let your inner Cookie Monster go wild!
